A playground designed for you too.

Most indoor playgrounds put parents on a wooden bench in the corner. UFOREA designed Cozy Nook the same way it designed the play zones — thoughtfully, comfortably, with the same attention to lighting and acoustics. It’s where you finally get to sit down.

  • 16 soft armchairsProper armchairs with lumbar support, not stiff benches — arranged in conversational clusters of three to four.
  • USB-C + 3-pin chargingEvery armchair has both built into the armrest. Free Wi-Fi for ticketed guests.
  • Sightlines into every zoneThe lounge sits on a slightly raised platform — you can see the bubble pool, mushroom forest, Makeover Castle and Mini Town from your seat.
  • Quiet nook for nursingA small curtained side-pocket with lower lighting — for nursing, calling, or a child who needs to decompress.

what's inside

Three things to love. One place to sit.

The lounge is shaped around a central coffee bar — a small counter selling proper espresso, juice and pastries. There’s a steel-and-walnut feel here, deliberately unbabyish, designed to look like a small café rather than a play-centre snack bar.

To one side, the main lounge — sixteen soft armchairs in muted blues and creams, arranged in clusters so groups can chat or singles can read in peace. Each cluster has a low side-table; each armchair has charging built in. The acoustics are tuned with felt panels; the playground sounds are present but never piercing.

To the other side, the quiet nook — a curtained alcove with two more armchairs, dimmer lighting and a baby-changing surface. This was the first thing UFOREA built and it’s the most-thanked feature. Nursing parents, sleepy toddlers, and anyone who needs five minutes find their way here.

a little advice

Tips from parents who’ve been.

one

Set up base camp here.

Pick a cluster of armchairs as your ‘home’ for the day — somewhere to leave a jacket, charge a phone, return to between zones. Most families spend more time in Cozy Nook than they expect.

two

Use the quiet nook unapologetically.

If your child is melting down or you need a moment, the curtained side-pocket is purpose-built for it. There’s no shame in five quiet minutes — the nook exists precisely for that.

three

Bring a book.

The playground sounds are warm, not piercing — deliberately. With your child playing happily in view, you might actually finish a chapter. Many parents have.

gentle answers

Cozy Nook questions.

Is Cozy Nook a separate space, or part of the main playground?
It’s woven into the playground — the lounge sits on a raised platform with full, unobstructed sightlines into Discovery Cove, Little Paradise, Makeover Castle and Mini Town. You can sip a coffee on a soft armchair and still see your child from across the floor.
Is there charging for laptops and phones?
Yes — every armchair has a USB-C port and a Malaysian three-pin socket built into the armrest. Wi-Fi is free for ticketed guests; the password is on each charging station.
Can I bring my own food and drink to Cozy Nook?
Light snacks and water bottles are fine. Hot food is not allowed in the play areas, but Cozy Nook adjoins a small café counter selling coffee, juice, pastries and kid-friendly bites. The wider Island 88 mall has a food court two minutes away for fuller meals.
Is there a quiet area for nursing or a child who needs a break?
Yes. Behind the main lounge is a small curtained nook with two soft armchairs, lower lighting and a baby-changing surface — designed specifically for nursing, calming an overwhelmed child, or having a quiet phone call. It’s first-come, first-served.
Are children allowed in Cozy Nook?
Of course — there’s a small reading corner with picture books and beanbags, and a low table for colouring. The lounge is parent-led in tone but isn’t off-limits to children. Many tired toddlers end the visit curled up here with their grown-ups.
