A storybook clearing for the smallest wanderers.

Little Paradise is the storybook chapter of UFOREA — the corner you’d picture from a picture book. Soft-foam toadstools rise to different heights, leafy canopies dapple the light, and a foam-stone creek invites endless rearranging. Most toddlers begin here and end here.

what's inside

A forest you can sit inside.

You step in past a low arched entrance hung with fabric vines, and the noise of the playground drops away. Underfoot, a soft rubber surface in mossy greens; overhead, a canopy of cloth leaves in three layered shades, hung at three different heights so the light dapples differently in every corner.

Around the clearing rise the toadstools. Some are knee-high — perfect for a toddler to perch on. Some are shoulder-high — perfect for hiding behind. The biggest two have hollowed-out caps with cushion floors, big enough for a parent and a child to climb inside together. We’ve watched whole picnics happen in there.

The foam-stone creek winds along one edge of the forest — a dry pebble bed in mottled blues, with sculpted lily-pads to stand on. Children spend long stretches just picking up the stones, arranging them in lines, and putting them back. It’s the calmest thing on the floor.

a little advice

Tips from parents who’ve been.

one

Save it for nap-resistance.

If your toddler is fighting sleep, the canopy and the dappled light tend to bring them down to a calm energy. Many parents end the visit here for that reason.

two

Bring a small toy.

A favourite stuffed animal lives well among the mushrooms — small children love re-enacting a forest picnic and the foam stones make perfect ‘food’.

three

Climb inside the biggest cap.

Two of the largest mushrooms have hollowed-out cushion interiors that fit one adult and one child. It’s the warmest photo of the day.

gentle answers

Little Paradise questions.

Are the mushrooms safe to climb on?
Yes — every mushroom is foam-cored with a soft-touch outer shell, fixed to a non-slip base. The largest are designed for climbing, the smaller ones for sitting and hiding behind. Nothing topples.
What ages does Little Paradise suit best?
Ages 1–6 — it’s the gentlest soft-play zone in UFOREA. Toddlers love the creek of foam stones; preschoolers tell their own little stories among the canopies. Older siblings often pass through quickly.
Is the foam-stone creek actually wet?
No — the creek is dry. The ‘stones’ are sculpted foam pieces in soft blues and pebble greys, arranged to look like a river bed. Children love picking them up and rearranging them; nothing soaks anyone’s socks.
Can parents sit inside the forest with their child?
Yes. Several of the bigger mushroom caps have built-in seating ledges sized for adults. Many parents settle into Little Paradise with a book — sightlines from here run straight to Cozy Nook and into Mini Town.
Is the lighting bright or dim?
Warm and gently dappled — like sunlight through a tree canopy. The mushroom caps each have a soft internal glow that becomes more visible as the natural light shifts. It’s calm, never overstimulating.
