The room where every photo looks enchanted.

Step inside and the floor responds to you. Pastel hexagons of light pool around each small footstep, then ripple outward. Mirror walls catch every twirl. It’s the zone parents most often send a thirty-second video home from.

what's inside

A small room. A very large feeling.

The zone is shaped like a soft hexagon, walled on three sides by mirrors that run from floor to ceiling. The fourth side is the entrance — a low arch trimmed in gold filament, deliberately framing every photograph parents take from outside.

The floor is the heart of it. Two hundred and forty pressure-sensitive panels, each a tiny pastel hexagon, glow under feet and gently radiate outward. Children quickly discover that a foot stamp sends a ripple all the way to the wall. Then they all stamp at once.

Above, the disco-ceiling shifts in slow pastel waves — lavender into rose into mint into pale-gold — never fast, never strobing. It’s the same kindness of light as Discovery Cove, just choreographed for movement instead of stillness.

a little advice

Tips from parents who’ve been.

one

Visit after Makeover Castle.

The dress-up costumes look enchanted under the pastel-neon ceiling. Pick a gown or cape in the castle first, then walk it onto the dance floor for the photo.

two

Film vertical, hold steady.

The video looks best at child height with the mirror wall behind. A slow horizontal pan from a corner captures the floor ripple and the reflection in one shot.

three

Wear bright socks.

The pastel floor washes out plain white socks in photos. Brighter colours pop against the glow — or grab a pair of fluorescent UFOREA socks at reception.

gentle answers

Light Fantasy questions.

Does the dance floor flash or strobe?
No — the floor and ceiling glow in slow pastel washes rather than fast strobing. Each colour holds for several seconds before drifting into the next. It’s designed to feel magical, not overwhelming, and it’s safe for children with light sensitivity.
What ages does Light Fantasy suit best?
Ages 3–10. Younger children love the under-foot glow; older children love the mirror walls and choreographing tiny dance routines. Toddlers under 3 enjoy it with a parent.
Can children dance with their dress-up costumes from Makeover Castle?
Absolutely — this is the natural pairing. Many families pick up a princess gown or knight cape in Makeover Castle, then bring it onto the dance floor. The colours look enchanted under the pastel-neon lighting.
Is there music in the zone?
Yes — gentle instrumental playlists at a level that lets parents still chat at the perimeter. We avoid sudden-volume tracks. Birthday parties booked in the Party Zone can request a custom playlist for their slot.
How often is the dance floor cleaned?
The interactive floor panels are wiped down on UFOREA’s 2-hour rolling sanitization round. The mirror walls and ceiling get a full polish each evening after closing.
